Not much discussion about this spell, but the one mention I did find basically summed up my own experience: You cast it, and nothing happens. Chests stay locked.
Either the use of this spell is something less intuitive than aim-and-shoot, or it simply does not work at all. Which pretty much destroys my plans for leveling in this game.
