I'm pretty upset that I didn't actually research THIS game first... but instead jumped straight on steam and bought it, and the DLC. Largely because I've played all through Sacred, Underworld, and Sacred 2 and really enjoyed it - apart from the massive amount of bugs in the beginning of Sacred. That sucked.. but eventually it was mostly fixed.. I expected that since it has the name "Sacred 3" it would be a continuation of this style / genre, and it really is NOTHING LIKE SACRED.
To be perfectly honest, I think it should be grounds for a refund, because it is absolutely misleading / false advertising.
Please don't cite Diablo 3 as any kind of example to go by either. Diablo 3 was different to its predecessor for sure, but it did however still allow you to gear your hero up, and still had a loot system to reward players for killing the hordes.
This game has none of its former glory at all and plays much more like a god of war-ish type bad console port.
The keyboard controllers are horrible, and completely inaccurate. Many times it jumps in the opposite direction, or to the side of where you are directing it...
Fortunately, I have a ps3 controller hooked up to my pc, and the game is much better to play with that. Again proving its a bad console port.... or was written moreso for console.
It's very disappointing. I was so looking forward to Sacred 3, as what I saw as a very good diablo clone - that's what it was... and since I still play Diablo, I was ready to enjoy something different, but in the same style / genre. The characters are all basically the same as well... same approximate moves etc, just a few specials that are different... you might as well of used the same model and just painted them different colors... that's how it feels.
I don't understand why you would do this ...... I was there from the start, and the original Sacred was so bug ridden, but it was still a good game, and it got much better with underworld. Sacred 2 was a big improvement again.... and now this?... makes no sense.
and just to add insult to injury, the DLC that I purchased isn't even showing up???
I can't play the extra character?? it's not there when I go to create a new game... but steam says i already own all the DLC... its kind of frustrating that there is nothing in the game to tell you that it is there.. that it is enabled, and if there is something you have to do to turn it on, there is no prompt to do so.. so you're just left wondering WTF did I just pay for.............
